2027 Intake
When applying for a primary school place, you can express three preferences. Lancashire County Council strongly encourage you to use all three as these are considered equally at the outset. The Local Authority or the governing body will allocate a place.
Where more than one offer is possible, only then will the priority order on your application be considered as a tie-break. Where a place at none of your preferred preferences is available, an alternative offer will be made.
Most Lancashire applicants will receive an offer for one of their three preferences. All applicants resident in Lancashire will receive a single offer issued by the Local Authority.
Applying for a place at sacred Heart is quick and easy to do and you will receive email confirmation of your application.
You must apply even if you already have siblings in school. If you live in Lancashire you can include out of area preferences on your online application.
If you are a catholic or practice in any other faith please also fill in the supplementary form and hand this in directly to the school office prior to the closing date.
The closing date for primary applications for September 2027 is on Friday 15 January 2027

We strongly recommend that if you wish your child to attend Sacred Heart then you arrange to view our school before applying.
We have an open morning on Tuesday 20th October 2026 between 9.30am-11.30am. If you are unable to make this morning, please contact the school office (01253 821392) and we can arrange an appointment convenient to you to have a look at our wonderful school.
