Ofsted & Diocesan Inspections
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. It inspects schools across England to evaluate the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and early years provision.
At Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, we see inspection as an opportunity to celebrate the strengths of our school community while continuing to reflect on how we can provide the very best education for every child.
Ofsted’s framework focuses on the lived experience of pupils — how well children learn, flourish, feel safe and are prepared for the next stage of their education. Inspectors speak with pupils, staff, governors and parents to gain a full picture of school life and the impact of the school’s work.
We are proud of our caring Catholic ethos, high expectations and commitment to helping every child achieve academically, socially and spiritually.
The Catholic Schools Inspectorate (CSI) inspects Catholic schools on behalf of the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales. CSI inspections evaluate how effectively schools live out their Catholic mission and provide a distinctively Catholic education.
The inspection framework focuses on three key areas:
- Catholic Life and Mission
- Religious Education
- Collective Worship and Prayer
Inspectors consider how the school’s mission and values are experienced by pupils, staff and families in everyday school life. They look at how pupils are supported to grow in faith, character, knowledge and service to others.
At Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, our faith is at the heart of everything we do. We strive to create a welcoming, nurturing and aspirational environment where every child is known, valued and encouraged to live out Gospel values each day.
The CSI framework recognises the importance of schools working in partnership with families, parishes and the wider community to help children flourish spiritually, morally and academically.
